​In the winter of 2021, while living in Sweden, I contacted the Tranströmer Estate and Monica Tranströmer about translating the entire body of her husband’s work into English. The Estate replied that they were not granting permission for new translations but only reprints of existing ones, although rights were subsequently granted to a family friend for a Collected edition. After reading it, along with the other English translations, I thought we could all use some new ones. Here they are.
